Corporate Sponsorship: defined by the Sticky-Marketing.com monthly magazine

Corporate Sponsorship refers to corporations financially or otherwise supporting various activities perhaps cultural or in the entertainment sector perhaps the arts or sport. Corporate sponsorship can be a form of advertising in that it allows the association of a company name with a prestige event and may therefore position the corporate name in a desirable light. Corporate sponsorship can also be closely tied into corporate hospitality where if a company sponsors an event they can use that event as a hospitality opportunity.
