Customer Relationship Management, also known as CRM, this term is descriptive such that you are able to manage your relationship with your customers in all the stages it is likely to progress through. An assumption may be that there is an ongoing trading relationship with customers and not a simple lone transaction, however the existence of word of mouth communication suggests that even if after one sale you had better believe your customers will decide how they relate to you and may not keep it to themselves, thus you have a relationship whether you like it or not!
