Editorial is often arranged by Public relations firms though the use of press releases. Editorial is when articles or news stories of interest appear featuring a company or product in a suitable publication. Often the article will not have been written by the journalists of the publication rather it will have been prepared to look as if this was the case by PR people who will issue it as a press release. Editorial is not normally ever paid for, rather the story should be newsworthy and most publications will normally deny any link between paid advertising and editorial coverage. If you are having trouble getting your PR story featured you may be suspicious if other firms that are advertisers seem to be getting their editorials printed.
