Exhibition, an event at which companies display (exhibit) their wares and offers to their target markets.
Exhibitions are also sometimes described as Trade Shows in Europe when they are not relevant to the general public but are more aimed at business customers.
The format promotion and detailed emphasis of exhibitions changes according to which continent and exhibition organiser are involved. Many of the larger industrial exhibitions in Germany appear to
focus more on making the exhibition visitors life easy using IT to help visitors find the products and services they seek with the minimum fuss while in UK Industrial exhibitions some organisers
appear to focus more on making the exhibitors life easier and spend their IT resources on trying to elicit as much information as possible about the visitors to the trade show that can then be
provided to the exhibitors as paid for lists.
