Sticky-Marketing.net Magazene "Marketing practice in the wild & enthusiastic comment"

Hospitality: defined by the Sticky-Marketing.com monthly magazine

Hospitality is simply entertaining your customers and target customers at a not 100% business event.

People buy from people and hospitality is a great opportunity to try to build bonds with customers, perhaps the media, shareholders, staff and any other stakeholders.

Premiere events are often used as a venue and partners also often welcomed to make the environment a less "business like" affair.

Cynically one could say that if you are able to butter up your target and or existing customers you are likely to oblige them to do more business with you and remain loyal longer.

The cynics are quite right it is human nature to respond to hospitality but it is also human nature to be hospitable.

The cynics do have one difficult point however as the ethics of entertaining can become complex if things get lavish. It can become hard to be precise as to where hospitality ends and attempted bribery begins.
