Pilot Schemes: defined by the Sticky-Marketing.com monthly magazine |
|
Pilot schemes involve testing a new idea, concept, product or service on a control group rather than the whole population. If you are considering launching a new product you may go through a pilot launch to into a limited controlled market and monitor results carefully this is a reduced risk option if the costs of failure are very high. After or during a pilot study you have an opportunity to modify the offering before launching it into a larger market. Piloting is a little like opinion polling where you ask a representative sample of a population a question and their response gives you a very representative idea of what the whole population would think. 05/12/2001 Use your browser back button or click here to visit the Sales & Marketing Glossary of Terms
