Public Relations or PR is the practice of managing the public face of a company whether to prospective clients or investors. PR is often handled by an outside PR agency that will typically have high levels of contact with the relevant media than the organisation itself. Press releases will therefore usually or often be routed through a PR agency to relevant media in the outside world.
