Internet, Search engines, Link Popularity: defined by the Sticky-Marketing.com monthly magazine

Link popularity is a measure used by some search engines to determine how popular a website is. Some SEs rank sites higher against searches if they have high link popularity that is many hyperlinks from other websites into that particular site.

Having the links from your distributors, principals or subsidiaries is not enough the pages on which these links are have to be registered and listed by the search engines as well for them to take this into account.
